This amazingly detailed model starts as two 4″ square sheets and finishes as a 3-D model. Mars Exploration Rover NASA’s twin rovers, named Spirit and Opportunity, launched separately in 2003 and landed three weeks apart in January 2004. They made important discoveries about wet environments on ancient Mars that may have been favorable for supporting microbial life. Although Spirit ceased communicating with Earth in March 2010, Opportunity continues its work on the Red Planet. The sheets contain detailed laser etching for easy removal and when completed measures 3.7″ x 3.39″ x 2.36″ with challenging difficulty. Complete instructions are included to show you how to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs, and connect them at the attachment points with an average assembly time of 45-60 minutes. It has been stored in a smoke and pet free environment. We also offer an optional LED base (white or blue lights) or a Solar Powered Spinner for better display of your model.
