This amazingly detailed model starts as two 4″ square sheet and finishes as a 3-D model. InSight, short for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport, is a robotic lander designed to study the deep interior of the planet Mars. InSight launched on May 5, 2018 and successfully landed on Mars on Nov. 26, 2018.
Its finding are expected to shed light on the processes responsible for the formation of Mars, Earth, and even rocky exoplanets more than 4 billion years ago. The sheets contain detailed laser etching for easy removal and when completed measures 5.9″ x 2.2″ x 2.5″ with challenging difficulty. Complete instructions are included to show you how to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs, and connect them at the attachment points with an average assembly time of 45-60 minutes. It has been stored in a smoke and pet free environment. We also offer an optional LED base (white or blue lights) or a Solar Powered Spinner for better display of your model.

It first launched August 30, 1984 and remained in service for more than 27 years. Among its many accomplishments was the work done on the International Space Station and carrying the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit. The sheets contain detailed laser etching for easy removal and when completed measures 4.5″ x 2.8″ x 2.3″ with moderate difficulty and is a 1:355 scale kit. Complete instructions are included to show you how to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs, and connect them at the attachment points with an average assembly time of 30-45 minutes.
